Ashampoo new version of its Uninstaller comes with more features than their preceding uninstallation programs.
Publishers say that this is the most appropriated application for completely cleaning all the programs traces when uninstalling.
The user interface is very intuitive, easy to use, and the application is full of tutorials (assistants) for guiding users in all the tasks the program can perform.
Once it is installed, when a new program is installed, the program automatically creates a 'log file' of every program installation, that it will be the basic reference for the uninstallation process, when user desires to uninstall that specific application. An 'Installation assistant' explains all the steps for taking a 'system snapshot' before the program is installed, in order to recover all the previous data when the program is uninstalled.
When uninstalling a program, Uninstaller ask the user to perform the uninstallation with or without a previous 'installation log file' (there may be none, when the installation hasn't been monitored). There's the possibility of manually uninstall for unlogged installations.
The application includes a very interesting and useful explanation (tutorial) about how the Uninstaller works. Very clear explanations will help user to understand they way it operates.
"Restore points" included in Windows XP and later, are managed by the application, allowing the user to switch them on/off, for easier restoring.
The program keeps on offering the known Ashampoo defrag tool for keeping drives smooth and as clean as possible. Now they have removed the old Easy/Expert selection. Programs uninstallation can be performed in batch mode, just by draging and droping the programs to remove into the uninstallation list.
It also includes a Windows Registry cleaner for finding traces and parts of programs that aren't been correctly uninstalled and remove these unnecessary traces.
Another option included is the Internet Cleaner, for removing all navigation traces, temporary files and browser cache. It also will show cookies for the user to delete them if desired.
The application also includes Find/Detete duplicate and temporary files, empty folders, Startup cleaner tool, etc. Installed fonts can be viewed with all their information, for removing fonts that are no longer used.
If the user want to reinstall an uninstalled program, the application can go back and restore the previous installation. |
